An object movie is an interactive image of a product that can be rotated online, usually created by photographing a product multiple times as it rotates. This process is most successful with static items like shoes or mobile phones, but is much more problematic with people. Forced to stand still in a rigid pose as they rotate on a large turntable, the results are less than ideal.
This website is a project started by photographer Angus Leadley Brown in order to find a way to combine the object movie effect with fashion photography. Using a time slice camera – a ring of synchronised cameras – a model has complete freedom of movement while being photographed simultaneously from all sides.
